# Focused onboarding workspace

> Use one stage-focused client workspace in Operations, normal Admin and account setup.

The **Onboarding** entry in the Funding Machine Operations account opens the queue without
the extra Admin sidebar, account switcher or global search. It uses the signed-in agency
and Operations Location. Other agency sessions and Locations retain the full Admin menu.
The CRM navigation remains outside the page. Operations Location admins also receive
[onboarding-only staff access](/staff/onboarding-access), without the general Admin console.

Select a client for the [current-stage workspace](/staff/onboarding-sidebar).
**Current stage** combines the relevant CRM fields with inline setup tasks. **Calls & notes**
adds call history and private context. **View full client** changes the layout without
selecting another stage or resetting an editor. Earlier and future fields remain available
through **All requirements**. Technical mapping, call assignments and recovery are under
**Troubleshooting**. Each editable fact has one editor in this workspace.
The compact header and footer leave room for current-stage checks. Known account links
stay out of the focused view unless they need review; **All requirements** exposes them.
Simple setup verification stays on the task row, with supporting evidence behind its disclosure.

For an unlinked account, enter **Customer’s SaaS Location ID** directly beneath **Next action**
and select **Check account links**. The guarded linker checks the subscription and existing
Operations opportunity, then refreshes the client. Remaining stage requirements still apply;
entering an ID alone does not complete onboarding. Unsaved IDs use the same discard guard
as other drafts.

In **Compliance**, **KYC Verified** and **Review identity** appear first, followed by the
larger checklist labels. The [onboarding booking card](/staff/onboarding-booking) opens a
prefilled calendar or email draft for the selected contact. Brief hints stay beside inputs;
the Slack channel's reserved-state guidance is available under **Channel already reserved?**.

The Location detail page retains the same account task, identity, phone, appointment,
shared-update and troubleshooting controls as a fallback. Queue attendance and CRM stage
review remain in Admin → Onboarding. No account data appears under an unverified client
mapping; repair that mapping before reviewing the linked account’s work.

## Saving and safe handoff

CRM checklist changes, setup commands, identity, appointments and notes save independently.
Use **Save** for CRM fields and the active task’s own action for other work. Preserve the
existing revision checks: a colleague’s newer change must be reviewed rather than silently
overwritten. Save or discard other drafts before starting another kind of change.

Switching sections, expanding, collapsing and resizing preserve drafts. Closing a client
with unsaved work asks whether to keep editing or discard it. An uncertain provider result
stays visible until checked; do not repeat a purchase, invitation, message or appointment
change to work around an uncertain response.

Browsing reads saved state only. Explicit provider refreshes keep their existing side
effects and permission gates. Disabled features do not hide clients or suppress unrelated
blockers. Attendance remains explicit; time passing never completes a call. Final QA still
requires deliberate staff approval before going Live.

See [Onboarding workspace](/staff/onboarding) for stage requirements and recovery rules,
and [Onboarding connections](/staff/onboarding-connections) for source ownership.
