Demo Mode
Demo Mode masks client personal information during screen sharing, funding review calls, and demos. Dollar amounts, dates, and workflow data stay visible.Toggle Demo Mode
- Keyboard shortcut:
Cmd+Shift+D(Mac) orCtrl+Shift+D(Windows) - Or: Click the Demo Mode toggle in the admin header
What Gets Masked
| Data Type | How It Appears |
|---|---|
| Names | Replaced with realistic fake names (deterministic, same input = same fake name) |
| Emails | First letter + *** (b***@example.com) |
| Phone numbers | Last 4 digits only (***-***-1234) |
| SSN | Fully hidden (***-**-****) |
| Credit scores | Range bracket (680-720 instead of 695) |
What Stays Visible
- Dollar amounts (funded amounts, invoice totals, balances)
- Dates (submission dates, due dates, payment dates)
- Statuses (Plan Needed, In Progress, Paid, etc.)
- Funding types and plan details
- SLA indicators
Masking applies across all admin pages: funding queue, invoices, contact detail, and more.
Spotlight
During a review call, you often need to discuss one specific client:Discuss the Client
That client’s data is unmasked (shown with a gold border). All others stay masked.
Only one contact can be spotlighted at a time. Clicking Spotlight on a new contact automatically hides the previous one.
Session Behavior
- Demo Mode persists during your browser session
- Closing the tab or browser clears demo mode
- It does not persist across page refreshes (by design, so you don’t accidentally leave it on)
