What this means

A credit report can return account information without a FICO score. The No FICO score available card explains why, keeps the available report details visible, and lets you select View credit report to review the file. These are bureau codes, not credit scores. They do not mean the client has a score of zero or that the credit pull failed. Unknown no-score codes show a general explanation; review the report for details.

Opportunity stage

A 9002 or 9003 result leaves an opportunity in New Applicant, even when the report contains no accounts. It does not automatically move the opportunity to Credit Not Found. That stage is for a missing credit file, not a returned file without a FICO score. This does not approve the applicant for funding. Review the no-score explanation and product decisions before choosing the next step. A new result also does not move an opportunity backward from a later stage or automatically correct a previously assigned stage.

Review the file and plan a callback

Open the credit report and discuss the explanation with the client. When Park for Callback is available, use the existing workflow to choose a follow-up date. The explanation does not guarantee that a score will become available on a particular date. A new pull before the underlying reporting changes may return the same result. Product decisions retain their existing outcomes. When a product requires a FICO score and none was returned, its explanation says so instead of describing the result as a low score. Other requirements still apply. When reviewing previous reports, the score card and explanation follow the selected report. A report with a valid score shows the usual gauge again. For a failed pull, missing report, or frozen file, follow the separate message shown for that issue.
