Payment History

Every invoice has a full payment timeline showing all recorded payments.

View Payment History

  1. On the Invoices page, click the dropdown menu (three dots) on any invoice
  2. Select “View Payments”
  3. The payment history panel shows:
    • Each payment: date, amount, method, who recorded it
    • Running balance after each payment
    • Total paid vs total due at the top

Timeline View

Payments are displayed chronologically with a visual timeline:
  • Date when the payment was received
  • Amount paid
  • Method (Check, Wire, Zelle, ACH, Credit Card, Other)
  • Recorded by (who entered the payment)
  • Running balance after this payment
The running balance updates in real time. If the balance reaches $0, the invoice automatically moves to “Paid” status.

Empty State

If no payments have been recorded, you’ll see “No payments recorded yet” with a prompt to record the first payment.
